CHRISTOPHER P. CAVANAUGH, PH.D.

Dr. Cavanaugh is a clinical neuropsychologist, with an emphasis on pediatric assessment, consultation, and intervention services at Fuller Diagnostics. Dr. Cavanaugh has been a behavioral health provider in Alaska since 2006. He has worked in a variety of settings including: schools, community based organizations, as well as inpatient and residential psychiatric care.  Dr. Cavanaugh has a PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage (APA accredited Clinical Psychology). He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the APA accredited Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington where he had rotations in mental health therapy/assessment, neuropsychological testing, substance abuse treatment, inpatient rehabilitation, and hospice treatment. Dr. Cavanaugh completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Fuller Diagnostics under the supervision of Kristi Fuller Ph.D., ABPP-CN and Richard Fuller Ph.D. Dr. Cavanaugh’s fellowship was completed in 2021.

Dr. Cavanaugh is a fourth generation Alaskan. He grew up in the Matanuska Valley before leaving Alaska to obtain his undergraduate degree at the University of Portland, in Portland, Oregon. He has lived in Anchorage since 2005 and enjoys flying, fishing, skiing, and biking with his family and Bernese Mountain Dog, Champ.
